Paris Saint-Germain could look to bolster its midfield this summer, but the question is how much it is willing to spend on the player. If the capital club wants to break the bank, it could challenge Manchester United for the English club’s top target on its radar.

A recent report suggests that new club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to approve a record-breaking offer of over £100 million to sign Joao Neves from Benfica this summer.

Sports Zone reports that PSG manager Luis Enrique appreciates Neves coming to the squad and being another piece of the midfield puzzle. Moreover, sporting advisor Luis Campos and Neves’ agent, Jorge Mendes, are still discussing their transfer market plans.

The super agent supports the Portuguese midfielder’s arrival at PSG, but the club will need to offload some players afterward.

Manchester United standout Bruno Fernandes believes that the 19-year-old is ready to make the jump from Benfica to another major club in European football.

“I don’t know if United rumours are true, but I know he is ready for that big jump,” Fernandes told Sport TV. “He is an excellent player, he’s with the national team… that’s also why the big clubs are after him.”
