Manchester United want new manager in next few days

Manchester United are currently in a period of change, following the sacking of Ruben Amorim as first-team manager earlier this week.

Furthermore, with Amorim gone and interim manager Darren Fletcher in charge, United have not won a game in four attempts.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also out of the FA Cup following a defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday 2-1.

However, even with this, there is reasons to be positive.

One of these reasons is the search for a new manager, with United already drafting up a shortlist of potential managers on the day of Ruben Amorim’s departure.

Meanwhile, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick meeting with Manchester United over the current vacant role, progress is arguably being made in the pursuit of a new manager.

As well as this, Michael Carrick has accepted the role of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s assistant manager should the club appoint Solskjaer.

Now, a new update has emerging with United wanting to sign a new manager soon.

According to ESPN, Manchester United hope to have clarity on who will lead the team for the rest of the season in the early stages of this upcoming week.

Furthermore, the source has also revealed that Ruud van Nistelrooy is still in contention for the role.

Although, it is understood that Solskjaer was set to have further talks with the club over the position on Saturday. 

Now, with the club wanting to appoint a new manager by next Saturday (when the Manchester derby takes place), fans may look towards the club for updates about the current vacant position.
