Manchester United winger suffers season ending injury

The climax of the season is approaching with Manchester United aiming to finish inside the Champions League places ahead of other sides such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Aston Villa.

Michael Carrick’s have won seven of their last ten games with just one defeat coming in this time.

Key players have stepped up, with Benjamin Sesko acting as a super substitute whilst Bruno Fernandes and others have shown their class to help the Red Devils win games.

These performances and results have seen the team and manager rewarded with Michael Carrick winning the Premier League’s Manager of the Month award for January whilst Benjamin Sesko won PFA Fans Player of the Month for February.

Youth players have also stepped up, helping the team further whilst also providing more depth to the side for matches.

But, now, United will be without Bendito Mantato who will miss the rest of the season with an injury that he picked up earlier this month against Chelsea’s Under-21s according to Red Youth United on X.

The injury has left him in a protective boot and crutches, with it expected to keep him out for the remainder of the current season.

Mantato has made an appearance for the first-team this season in the Premier League although has primarily played for the Under-21s with 17 appearances this season, having previously come through the age groups in Manchester United’s academy.

The injury marks a major setback in his development and will mean that the winger will not potentially be seen until the pre-season schedule starts later this year.

Focus may now switch towards Bendito Mantato to see how he reacts to the confirmation of his injury and to see how he undergoes his rehabilitation in the coming weeks and months.
