Marcus Rashford officially wins LaLiga 2025/26

Marcus Rashford is approaching the end of his loan spell at Barcelona although the success that he has built is continuing to be felt.

Joining the Spanish club during last summer’s transfer window, optimism was high for Rashford as he looked to gain more confidence and playing time.

Throughout the season, he has been able to achieve this with him making 47 appearances this season whilst also scoring 14 goals and providing eleven assists.

These performances have aided Barcelona as they tried to succeed in their respective competitions.

Rumours are still swirling about whether Rashford will complete a permanent move to the side this summer or whether he will return to Old Trafford.

With one trophy already won through the Supercopa de Espana, Barcelona had looked to secure a second title through winning LaLiga.

A 11-point gap existed between Hansi Flick’s side, in first, and Real Madrid, managed by Alvaro Arbeloa, in second, going into their match against each other on Sunday evening.

With FC Barcelona beating Real Madrid 2-0 in the famous El Clasico, in which Rashford scored a spectacular free-kick, the club have now secured the LaLiga title against their arch-rivals with this being the side’s second consecutive league title.

Marcus Rashford has been key to this with the English international scoring eight times in the league whilst providing seven assists in the games he has played.

With the title now wrapped up, and with Barcelona already out of the Champions League, focus may switch towards the summer where the 28-year-old’s future will be decided.

Barcelona have already missed one deadline to sign Rashford and interest from Bayern Munich and Arsenal is present alongside Tottenham Hotspur.

Should the club not move to sign the English international permanently, it is likely that one of these sides may attempt a move.
