Marcus Rashford returned to Manchester United this summer, following his loan spell at Barcelona and a successful World Cup campaign with England.

Since arriving back at the club, however, the 28-year-old has continued to be linked with moves away.

Although initially blocking moves from Liverpool and Manchester City, access to the player was opened up to United’s two arch-rivals earlier in the window.

It is not those two clubs that have made the most noise, however, with Fenerbahce and Arsenal continually being linked with a move for the left-winger.

The latter of those, returning to Premier League action following their first League title in 22 years, was encouraged by Michael Owen to make a move.

Fenerbahce, on the other hand, have held secret meetings as they look to establish a position from which they can make a move.

With just days now remaining in the transfer window, journalist Tyrone Marshall has provided an update on Rashford’s future.

Writing for Manchester Evening News, Marshall has said that all parties now see the left-winger’s immediate future at Manchester United.

The journalist also stated that Marcus Rashford does not want to join Fenerbahce.

Chelsea and Arsenal, on the other hand, have been named as two clubs that could make a move, according to the journalist, but are unlikely to make such an attempt in the closing stages of this window.

Last weekend, coming off the bench, Rashford was able to create four chances for Michael Carrick’s side against Hull City.

With his immediate future now set on Manchester United, Carrick could look to use the 28-year-old to benefit the side in attacking situations.

Before the Hull match, the England international was assigned the number nine shirt, a jersey worn by famous Manchester United players in years gone by.

Rashford, stating at United, must now prepare to step up to that mantle if this season is going to be successful for him.
