Marcus Rashford made 426 appearances whilst at Manchester United with the English international’s first appearance coming in 2015 following him breaking into the first-team.

Over the ten years that followed, the 28-year-old scored 138 and provided United fans around the globe with moments that they will never forget.

But, this summer, following a period in Ruben Amorim’s famed ‘bomb squad’, Rashford departed Old Trafford to join LaLiga side Barcelona on a loan basis for the entirety of the 2025-26 season.

Since joining the current LaLiga champions, the English international has made 15 appearances and scored on six ocassions.

However, his move to Spain has previously attracted criticism with Paul Scholes even branding the winger a “disgrace”.

But, even with this criticism, the possibility of a permanent move to Spain next summer has been apparent with Barcelona working on a new agreeement with Manchester United.

Now, following Marcus Rashford winning the LaLiga Player of the Match award for his efforts against Elche, the winger has commented on a new stadium project.

According to Sky Sports, Rashford stated: “I think it’s a beautiful stadium and as you can imagine, when it’s full it’s going to be unbelievable.

“I cannot wait to be on the pitch with more of the home fans.

“It’s lovely that they can be here to watch the first training session.

“The pitch is beautiful and I’m really looking forward to playing here.

“Camp Nou was always one of my favourite stadiums and one I wanted to play in.

“To play in it for Barcelona is a different feeling.

“I don’t know what it will be like, but I’m looking forward to it and I’m going to enjoy it.”

The renovated Camp Nou is expected to open in 2027 with players seen training at the stadium already.
