Inter President Beppe Marotta is confident that the Nerazzurri ‘know how to handle these games’ and insists energy in the title race is ‘positive.’

The Nerazzurri host Lazio at San Siro in their final home Serie A game of the season.

They are second in the table, just one point below Napoli, who visit Parma this evening.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this evening’s nine Serie A games on the Liveblog.

“It had been several years since we experienced an atmosphere like this, such a final rush,” Marotta told Sky Sport via TMW.

“Football is beautiful and unpredictable. The first hurdle is to overcome our opponent, then we’ll see what happens in Parma. We are in the game, we’re used to dealing with this tension. It’s positive energy.”

Marotta on Inter title race and Champions League Final

Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard are unavailable for the Nerazzurri, but Simone Inzaghi fields all the other regular starters, including Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolò Barella and Marcus Thuram.

The Nerazzurri are also preparing for the Champions League Final against PSG on May 31, but their main focus is currently on the tense title race in Serie A.

“It should not be a stressful commitment. I repeat that this group has grown a lot and knows how to put things into perspective in matches like this,” Marotta continued.

“At the start of this cycle, these sorts of games came with a stressful kind of pressure. Now the players have matured and know how to handle these games. It’s the first training for the Final on May 31.”

Inter’s title rivals Napoli play in Parma with a 4-4-2 system, picking Romelu Lukaku and Giacomo Raspadori in attack.
