Marseille are reportedly still keen on signing Inter Milan defender Benjamin Pavard, but only if it is on reduced wages.
This according to French outlet Goal.fr.
In the last few weeks, transfer rumours have swirled around Inter defender Benjamin Pavard.
Reportedly, the Nerazzurri would be willing to cash in on the Frenchman this summer. Two seasons after his arrival from Bayern Munich, they no longer consider him a key part of the squad.
Turkish champions Galatasaray reportedly are keen on Pavard. Then, Neom have not hid their interest in bringing the 29-year-old to the Saudi Pro League.
Furthermore, the possibility of a move back to Ligue 1 has also emerged.
Lille have withdrawn their interest, as they consider a move for Pavard to be too expensive.
However, Marseille have reportedly lined the Frenchman up as a target.
According to French outlet Goal.fr, Marseille do still consider a target.
The Ligue 1 club are still sounding out the possibility of signing the former Bayern defender before deadline day.
However, the outlet reports, on present conditions a deal for Pavard would be tricky for Marseille.
The French club cannot sign Pavard on the wages that he earns at Inter. Therefore, they would require him to lower his wages.
