Matt Doherty undergoing Wolves medical today

Matt Doherty is undergoing a medical at Wolves today.

The Irishman is a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of last season.

Doherty joined Atletico in January from Tottenham after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Sky Sports reports Doherty is now close to signing with former club Wolves.

He arrived for his medical examination at Molineux this morning.
