McKennie is also the Juventus captain this evening, and it’s the second time this season. He had already worn the armband in a January Champions League game against Benfica.

McKennie has made 18 Serie A appearances this season, totalling 1,228 minutes on the pitch with two goals and three assists. Overall, he has five goals and three assists in 28 games across all competitions.

The versatile 28-year-old signed a contract extension until 2026 last summer.

Manuel Locatelli became the Juventus captain after Danilo’s exit in the January window, but the Italy international starts on the bench this evening.
