One of the special guests at the 2025 MLS Skills Challenge will be USWNT player Lindsey Heaps. The 31-year-old is a versatile player who's had a long career in the national team. Heaps will be with Team USA and Clint Dempsey, who is also invited as a special guest.
Heaps' trajectory in soccer in the U.S. has been long, and she received early recognition for her talent on the pitch. She has over 35 goals and 167 appearances for the USWNT. She's won many trophies like the 2019 Women's World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics Gold Medal in Women's Soccer.

Lindsey Horan Heaps was born on May 26, 1994, in Golden, Colorado. She played club soccer instead of high school soccer as a teenager. She joined Colorado Rush as a teenager and became one of the youngest players on the United States under-17 women's national team at 15 years old.
Her parents are Linda and Mark Horan. She went to Golden High School and earned a scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to play for the Tar Heels. She chose to play and sign for PSG's women's team in 2012 when she was 19.
She is married to Tyler Heaps, a soccer analyst. The couple were married in late December 2024. Her husband is currently a sporting director and general manager at San Diego FC in the MLS.
The two met while Heaps was working with U.S. Soccer. Lindsey Heaps started using her maiden name this year. Her net worth is around $1.5 million according to Sportskeeda.
Lindsey Heaps played at PSG's women's team for four years from 2012 to 2016. She scored 46 goals for the French club and decided to go back to the United States in 2016 after her contract was terminated.
She joined Portland Thorns in 2016 and last at the club for six years. She changed her position from attacker to a midfielder.
In 2022, she returned to France as she joined Olympique Lyon on loan. Heaps joined Lyon on a permanent deal in 2023. She won five trophies with the Portland Thorns andLyon Féminin. Heaps won 15 trophies with the USWNT.
Some notable individual awards Heaps has won in the past include the U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year in 2013 and the NWSL Championship Most Valuable Player in 2017.
