Milan are currently arranging the final details of an agreement with Premier League side Chelsea for attacker Christopher Nkunku in a deal that is likely to exceed the €40m mark with bonuses included.
Footmercato reported on Wednesday evening that Milan had submitted an offer in the region of €30m-€40m for the former RB Leipzig attacker.
Football Italia can confirm that the fixed fee will in fact be in the region of €37m-€38m, plus an additional €4m-€5m in bonuses linked to personal performances and club objectives, such as qualification for the Champions League.
If the deal goes ahead, Nkunku will become the most expensive signing of the Serie A summer transfer window thus far, overtaking fellow Milan recruit Ardon Jashari, who moved to San Siro at a cost of €37m earlier in August.
Nkunku is now set for his first experience in Serie A after a two-year spell in West London with limited opportunities, largely due to injuries, at Chelsea.
The Frenchman had scored 47 goals from 119 Bundesliga appearances with RB Leipzig in the four years prior to his Chelsea move.
