The final game of the 2023-24 season will be upon us tomorrow and AC Milan must soon make a decision regarding the future of Luka Jovic.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the management are reflecting on the possibility of renewing the striker’s contract and keeping him in the squad for another year, but there is no shortage of doubts, on an economic level and on a tactical one too.

The starting point is the choice of the new head coach, with Paulo Fonseca in pole position to take over after Stefano Pioli’s departure. What is certain is that Jovic’s future will largely depend on the investment in the market, because a big investment is planned on a new starter.

It might change things if Serhou Guirassy arrived over Joshua Zirkzee or Benjamin Sesko for example because he would cost a lot less(even if his salary would be high). An investment of this kind would partially reduce the initial expenditure expected for a striker, with the possibility of also thinking about signing another.

Jovic’s deal expires in June and all possibilities are open at the moment. Also because the Serbian’s season at Milanello summed up what his career has been so far. Clear technical potential and ups and downs on the pitch, with excellent performances often alternating with ghostly matches.
