Milan face strong competition from Chelsea and Eintracht Frankfurt if they want to push for RC Strasbourg right-back Guela Doué.

There had already been reports of interest in the older brother of Paris Saint-Germain sensation Desiré Doué, along with Marc Pubill of Almeria.

They need a new right-back, as Kyle Walker will return to Manchester City after his loan and Alessandro Florenzi is out of contract.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Strasbourg player would cost in the region of €20m, which could put him beyond the current budget for Max Allegri’s side.

Doue an investment for Milan

Signing the Ivory Coast international would at least give them potential profit on resale value, especially considering Strasbourg paid just €6m to sign him from Stade Rennes a year ago.

The 22-year-old has attracted interest from plenty of clubs along with Milan, most notably Chelsea and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Premier League side coached by Enzo Maresca have a definite advantage, not just in terms of finances, but also the strong working relationship between the two clubs with shared ownership.

Doué made 32 Ligue 1 appearances this season, contributing one goal and two assists.
