Reports in Italy claim Milan have intensified talks for Adrien Rabiot and Samuele Ricci after Tijjani Reijnders’ move to Manchester City.

Milan are preparing to bring in midfield reinforcement, especially after Reijnders’ transfer to Manchester City.

Both clubs confirmed the Dutch midfielder’s move on Wednesday morning.

Allegri pushes for Rabiot to Milan

A possible replacement for Reijnders is Rabiot, a former Juventus midfielder who already played under Massimiliano Allegri in Turin.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Allegri has been pushing to reunite with the 30-year-old at San Siro.

Rabiot reportedly has an agreement to leave Marseille if he secures a deal with another club, but he’s not currently pushing to join Milan.

Milan want Torino to lower Ricci price tag

Calciomercato.com argues that Milan could also involve Ismael Bennacer in the deal after Marseille failed to make his move permanent.

The Italian media outlet adds that Milan directors held talks with Torino midfielder Ricci on Tuesday.

The Rossoneri are interested in the Italy international but are unwilling to match the Granata’s €35m asking price.

Milan are also on the verge of signing Luka Modric as a free agent from Real Madrid.
