AC Milan are among the teams that have taken an interest in Feyenoord defender David Hancko, a report claims, but the asking price that has been set is high.

Milan’s defensive department is the one that has been under the most stress this season, with a number of different injuries plunging Stefano Pioli’s side into an emergency at multiple points and contributing to a poor record overall. As such, an investment in a centre-back is expected.

Simon Kjaer is on an expiring contract and could leave, while Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw have been linked with an exit, the latter attracting the interest of Real Madrid. The likes of Alessandro Buongiorno and Giorgio Scalvini have been mentioned as targets.

According to the latest from TMW, Milan are monitoring the situation of David Hancko, a Czech defender who has played at Feyenoord for the last two seasons and was a league winner with them in 2022-23.

Last summer the former Sparta Praha and Fiorentina player ended up in the sights of Napoli who are still keen on him now, but the valuation of €25m plus bonuses scared off the Partenopei and other clubs who were interested.

Considering his excellent performances this season, Feyenoord could even ask for €40m to sell Hancko in the summer transfer window, a very high figure – even if with bonuses included – but one which the Dutch side also appear to be willing to negotiate a bit, even if only slightly.

The situation is complicated, because many clubs have called Feyenoord in recent weeks. Even big names in Europe, who play will play in the Champions League next season to win it.
