With a Champions League final on the horizon Mats Hummels has the chance to potentially end his Borussia Dortmund career in the best way, and then AC Milan are interested in signing him.

Calciomercato.com write how at 35 years old, the centre-back is still among the best in the role at European level and, as a free transfer, he has attracted several teams. Among these, according to the German newspaper BILD, are Milan and Juventus.

Hummels is tempted by the possibility and could really think about moving to Italy from next summer. According to the report, the defender is considering destinations that are within reach of Munich, where his family lives. In this sense, both Milan and Turin would be suitable.

For now no decision has been made: first maximum concentration on the final against Real Madrid, then the final choice. Hummels will meet with his father and advisor Hermann and with the Dortmund sporting director, Sebastian Kehl.

An attempt by the club to convince the player to stay for another year cannot be ruled out, but Calciomercato.com state that at Milan Hummels could ideally take Simon Kjaer’s place as the experienced defender.

The Rossoneri could in fact sign two players in that department given how bad they have been defensively this season. Juve will also change a lot at the back as they will say goodbye to Alex Sandro and expect to receive offers for Bremer too.

The Bianconeri have liked Hummels for a long time and a few years ago he even filmed himself wearing a Juventus shirt while taking part in a musical festival.
