There will be no change to AC Milan’s plans for the last 48 hours of the January transfer window despite last yesterday’s humiliation at the hands of Sassuolo.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report this morning, the 5-2 loss to Sassuolo made it a nightmare 15 days for Milan, who closed the month of January with 14 goals conceded in four games and on a run of six without a win.

This deep crisis is only a consequence of a club in prolonged rupture as the owners did not understand how important it was to try and agree a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo, to give the whole environment a boost, while Stefano Pioli did not adapt to what was not working by adding an extra midfielder.

Not even the humiliation against Sassuolo will change the plans regarding the transfer window. Yesterday the management met and took stock of the situation after the game, but other than the tactical change by inserting an extra midfielder, there doesn’t seem to be any ideas for reversing the course.

Milan are paying for a poor summer market in which Franck Kessie was not replaced, a striker who scores was not signed and the right wing remains unaddressed, the paper claims.
