It ended up being a rather dramatic game between AC Milan and Lazio after a rather slow first half, with everything erupting in the final 45 minutes. Noah Okafor, who scored the winner, was named the MOTM by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.

The pink newspaper (see photo below) assessed the individual performances of the Milan players and named Okafor the MOTM at 7/10, just like in our player ratings. He entered the pitch with a lot of will and desire, as the newspaper states, and the goal was the icing on the cake.

The likes of Matteo Gabbia, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders were just behind at 6.5/10. The American is the one who ‘created’ the sending-off for Lazio by playing on, while the Dutchman was centimetres away from a great assist for Rafael Leao.

Mike Maignan, Simon Kjaer, Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao and Davide Calabria all passed the test at 6/10. The Frenchman had one of his trademark runs just before the goal, while the other three were simply just decent.

Alessandro Florenzi, Yacine Adli, Ismael Bennacer and Olivier Giroud, on the other hand, didn’t get a pass from the newspaper at 5.5/10. The striker was named the worst of the bunch after failing to combine with his teammates.

Stefano Pioli, meanwhile, was handed a 6.5/10 by the newspaper for getting the substitutions right this time out.
