Milan are set to meet with the entourage of Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa, reports from Italy claim, as the Rossoneri weigh up the feasibility of a move for the Italian winger.
According to the latest reports from MilanNews24, the latter half of this week will be vital in Milan’s pursuit of the player. The Rossoneri will meet with Chiesa’s agents and then consider putting forward a proposal to the Premier League club.
Milan have seen a number of key changes off the pitch this summer. Massimiliano Allegri returned to the club as head coach whilst former Lazio sporting director Igli Tare also joined the Rossoneri.
Allegri worked with Chiesa at Juventus and could be key in convincing Chiesa to join the project at Milan, which would likely require the 27-year-old to take a cut in pay. For Liverpool’s part, the Premier League side are willing to part ways with the player if a suitable offer comes in. Arne Slot’s side have already made several big moves in the transfer market and are currently in talks to sign Newcastle forward Alexander Isak – with the Reds having to make sales to balance the books.
