Ipswich Town, Bologna and Torino had also been linked, but Sky Sport Italia report the paperwork was signed this evening to give Udinese the go ahead.

Miller had already flown out earlier today and his medical tests are planned for Tuesday in Udine.

Serie A experience for Miller

A product of the Motherwell youth academy, he has two senior caps for Scotland, both earned in June 2025.

He becomes the latest Scottish player to come to Serie A after Lewis Ferguson of Bologna, Che Adams at Torino, and Liam Henderson at Sampdoria.

The midfielder has amassed 49 Scottish Premiership appearances with two goals and eight assists to his name.

Udinese had agreed personal terms with free agent Axel Witsel last week, but then he decided to join FC Girona instead.
