Sergio Ramos triumphantly returned to boyhood club Sevilla last summer, 18 years after leaving to join Real Madrid. Despite now being 38 years of age, he has now looked out of place in La Liga, and has arguably been one of Los Nervionenses’ best performances over the course of the campaign.

Despite this, it’s far from certain that he will stay on for another season. He only signed until the end of June, and so far, talks over a new deal have not progressed. On top of this, Relevo have reported that numerous clubs in the MLS are pushing hard to sign him as a free agent in the summer.

Ramos is not in a rush to decide his future, and a decision may not arrive until after the season ends. He is keen to know Sevilla’s plans for next season, and if he likes them, there’s a good chance that he will look to sign on for another 12 months.
