According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli are increasingly close to two major targets, closing the gap on Bologna defender Sam Beukema and with Noa Lang accepting a pay cut.

The two players have already agreed personal terms and made it clear they are eager to make the transfer to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Finding deals with their respective clubs is proving a little more difficult, but they are edging towards those handshakes.

Napoli closing on summer reinforcements

Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio reports this evening that Lang is prepared to accept a pay cut in order to help push through the move to Napoli.

He needs to leave behind a portion of his PSV Eindhoven salary to ensure the clubs can find a balance on the transfer fee.

Although Napoli are reaching the €30m asking price, the issue is how to divide up the various bonuses and the formula of those add-ons to make everyone happy.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia also claim that the offer for Beukema has been raised to €28m, with Bologna in turn prepared to lower their asking price from €35m to €30m.

They too hope to bridge the gap with some added bonuses.
