Napoli have made Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi their top target in midfield as they look to strengthen for Antonio Conte.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is definitely at a crossroads in his Nerazzurri career.

The 25-year-old is coming to the end of his second season at the club. And he has yet to establish himself as a regular starter in that time.

Frattesi has certainly made his impact. The former Sassuolo midfielder scored decisive goals against the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the Champions League knockouts.

However, Frattesi had already pushed to leave Inter in January. This was due to being unhappy with the limited playing time he’s received.

And it looks clear that it could be the same story this summer.

Napoli Target Inter Midfielder Davide Frattesi To Strengthen Squad For Conte

In the January transfer window, Roma had been the team who really pushed hard to sign Davide Frattesi.

However, the Giallorossi were unable to convince Inter with an offer.

But in the meantime, Napoli are also big admirers of the Italian international.

And by all accounts, the Partenopei are ready to splash the cash this summer.

Having confirmed that Antonio Conte will stay on as coach, Napoli will aim to bolster their squad now that they will have Champions League commitments to worry about.

And according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, in midfield, the Partenopei’s top target is Frattesi.
