Napoli ultras strongly criticise players and president Aurelio De Laurentiis, shouting ‘Out’ and ‘We deserve more’ during the last game of the season against Lecce.

Napoli fans and ultras are voicing their discontent during a home Serie A game against Lecce, the last one of the season.

As reported by Calciomercato.com‘s correspondent from the Stadio Maradona, ultras in Curva A remained silent for the opening 15 minutes before starting signing: ‘We only love the jersey.’

Napoli ultras tell players to leave and sing ‘De Laurentiis out’ on final Serie A round

Shortly afterwards, they put up a banner that read: ‘The only thing we save from this disastrous season is the jersey. Those who didn’t give all can leave.’

At that point, they sent clear messages to ADL by singing “We deserve more” and “Out of Napoli,” while players were called “mercenaries with no balls.”

Another banner in the Curva B mentioned seven of this season’s 11 defeats: Napoli-Fiorentina 1-3, Napoli-Empoli 0-1, Napoli-Inter 0-3, Napoli-Frosinone 0-4, Torino-Napoli 3-0, Empoli-Napoli 1-0, and Napoli-Bologna 0-2. It was followed by another message: “You had to honour a title, but you played without fighting. From triumph to collapse, we are grateful, but you will hardly be remembered.”

Napoli won 13 Serie A games, drew 14 and lost 11 and risk not qualifying for a European placement this season.

The Partenopei changed three coaches this season: Rudi Garcia, Walter Mazzarri, and Francesco Calzona. They are now in talks with Antonio Conte to become their next coach.
