Rasmus Hojlund is thriving once more after his return to Serie A this summer on loan with Napoli, seemingly having left Manchester United for good.

Although the move is only a temporary loan, with an option to buy for £38 million, his permanent move to the Italian champions is seemingly more and more likely.

In 20 appearances, Hojlund has scored nine goals, including braces against Sporting CP, Juventus and Cremonese, and registered three assists, already lifting the Supercoppa Italiana.

As such, the Denmark international has already made his desires known, hinting in an interview that next season he’ll aim to do more of his press talks in Italian.

Now, Corriere dello Sport have reported that a contract agreement is seemingly all done, with a realease clause already set up and ready to take effect from 2027.

The Italian outlet have highlighted that Napoli are not only preparing to pay his transfer fee to United, but also have a £74 million (€85 million) ready for when he’s a permanent member of their squad.

This fee nearly matches the value Manchester United paid Atalanta for the striker in 2023, however he failed to live up to the price tag at Old Trafford.

In his two years at United, Rasmus Hojlund registered 26 goals and six assists in 95, averaging at 0.38 goal contributions per game.

Already at Napoli this is significantly higher, averaging at 0.6 goal contributions per game.

With Napoli currently holding third place, only two points off Inter Milan at the top of the table, Antonio Conte will be hoping Hojlund can continue to produce at the head of his attack to held defend their Serie A crown.
