‘Negotiations Advance Soon’: Chelsea Prepare New Offer To Make ‘Out-Of-This-World’ Forward First Summer Signing

Chelsea are aiming to finish off their first season under Mauricio Pochettino with a few strong results and potentially secure a place in the UEFA Europa League next term. Amidst their on-the-pitch work, the club keeps working hard in the transfer market and seems to be pushing for the signing of Palmeiras sensation Estevao Willian.

Chelsea Readying New Proposal To Seal Estevao Willian Signing

Are Chelsea Feeling Pressure Of Bayern Munich Competition For Willian?

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Blues have now prepared a brand new offer which they hope will be sufficient enough to convince Palmeiras to sell their prized 17-year-old winger. He also adds that this offer will be sent in soon after Chelsea were able to agree to personal terms with the Brazilian teenager last week.

The journalist also adds that the Premier League side are not facing any tensions over potentially seeing their move hijacked by Bayern Munich. It is further clarified that the Bavarians haven’t actually made any concrete bid to sign Willian yet and as a result, Chelsea feel like they’re in control after having developed a nice rapport with the player’s representatives. Romano also states that “negotiations to advance soon” in which the Blues will push for full agreement for Willian’s acquisition.

What Could Chelsea Get In Willian?

The English side have been impressed with what they’ve seen from the 17-year-old winger in their scouting missions and that is why they’re pushing to make their first signing of the summer. Even though Willian, nicknamed ‘Messinho’ due to his dribbling ability and identical playing style to Lionel Messi, can’t officially move to Stamford Bridge before he turns 18, the Premier League team still wants an agreement settled in advance.

Willian has been hailed as an “out-of-this-world” talent in Brazil. He is blessed with pace and impressive trickery, as well as the ability to make things count in the final third. At the age of 17, Messinho has already made 16 appearances for Palmeiras’ senior team and gotten four goal contributions. The right-winger has also scored three goals and provided as many assists for Brazil’s under-17 side, excelling in the FIFA under-17 World Cup last year.

After having already signed some highly-rated young talent from South America like Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington and Kendry Paez, the London heavyweights seem eager to get this deal done quickly and sign a player who can potentially make that right-wing role his own in the long-term.
