Christian Pulisic and Alexis Saelemaekers did not train for AC Milan this afternoon, so are in some doubt for Saturday’s meeting with Lazio.

The USMNT star had only just returned to the starting XI and scored the decisive goal in the Derby della Madonnina victory over Inter at the weekend.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Pulisic has been halted again by an injury, this time a slight muscular issue.

It is not believed to be serious, but the Rossoneri will want to take it easy and not risk a relapse for the key player.

Meanwhile, Saelemaekers also did not participate in today’s training session because he was suffering from a recurring back problem.

This is a familiar story for the Belgium international, and he too is hoping to be passed fit to start on Saturday against Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio.

There is still no sign of Santiago Gimenez or Zachary Athekame in the sessions, so they are not expected to be ready for their comeback at San Siro.
