Petar Sucic, Ange-Yoan Bonny, and Francesco Pio Esposito were among the standout performers in Inter Milan’s first behind-closed-doors friendly.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They also praise Luis Henrique and Lautaro Martinez.
Yesterday Inter Milan played their first friendly match of preseason.
It was just a behind-closed-doors friendly between the senior team and the new Under-23 side.
But this was the first opportunity to see the work from preseason training in action.
Naturally, a lot of Inter’s players looked rusty or lacking in some physical sharpness.
However, there were some players who particularly stood out, Tuttosport argued. In particular, the new signings and the attack impressed.
Midfielder Petar Sucic looked right at home in Inter’s midfield. The Croat was the pick of the bunch among the central players, looking like he perfectly suits what coach Cristian Chivu wants.
Then, wingback Luis Henrique also came on and impressed. The Brazilian scored an excellent goal.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport argue that Inter’s attack looked very formidable.
Captain Lautaro Martinez showed his hunger. And it was particularly promising that the Argentine already showed a good understanding with 21-year-old summer signing Ange-Yoan Bonny.
Then, Tuttosport also hail Francesco Pio Esposito for his movement in attack and physicality.
