Newcastle United pushing to sign Fulham star

According to Alan Nixon, Newcastle are pushing to sign Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson as they reshape their squad ahead of the new season.

The United States international has repeatedly been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage, and Newcastle believe this summer could finally present the opportunity to strike a deal.

The Magpies are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Fulham on a transfer fee that satisfies both clubs, while Antonee Robinson himself is believed to be open to the switch despite Newcastle’s eventful summer.

Should Robinson arrive at St James’ Park, however, attention would immediately turn towards the future of Lewis Hall.

Keeping two high-quality left-backs competing for one position is viewed as unlikely, making Hall’s long-term role uncertain.

That development could benefit Manchester United, who have previously been linked with the former Chelsea academy graduate.

Hall’s situation at Newcastle has already become increasingly complicated following reports that his relationship with manager Eddie Howe deteriorated.

The 21-year-old believes Howe played a part in him missing out on England’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the defender now understood to have played his final game under the departing manager.

Howe himself is expected to leave Newcastle, adding another layer of uncertainty surrounding Hall’s future.
