The EFL Cup has four teams left, and Newcastle United will host Manchester City in the first leg of this semifinal matchup. The match will be played at St. James' Park, and the second leg will be played at the Etihad Stadium next month.

Newcastle United and Manchester City played over the weekend in the FA Cup. Both teams advanced to the next round after beating Bournemouth and Exeter City, respectively.

Newcastle faced off against Bournemouth in Round 3 of the FA Cup. The match finished in a 3-3 draw at St. James' Park. The match went to extra time after a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.

It finished 3-3 after extra time, with late goals from Harvey Barnes and Marcus Tavernier. The match was decided on penalties, and Newcastle United won the penalty shootout 7-6.

Manchester City faced off against League One side Exeter City at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City won in a convincing 10-1 victory.
