The Magpies are not arriving in the best frame of mind, having lost 3-1 to Manchester City in their last match on Saturday and been eliminated from the FA Cup. However, in their last Champions League match, they defeated Qarabag FK 3-2, with a 9-3 aggregate score, to advance to the round of 16.

For its part, Barcelona defeated Athletic Club 1-0 on Saturday in a LaLiga fixture, while its last Champions League game was on Jan. 28, when it routed Copenhagen 4-1.
