Former Leeds United defender Jon Newsome believes Jack Harrison would be welcomed back to the club.

The winger is on loan at Everton for the season, where he has been impressing.

While Harrison may yet earn a permanent move to Goodison Park, Newsome believes he does have a door open for him at Elland Road.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "Yes, I think so [Harrison would be welcomed back].

"You can't discount the fact that in the January window, they sought of hung Jack out to dry and sent him off to Leicester City. I think Jack Harrison shouldn't be included in that discussion but some of the others? Absolutely.

"[Luis] Sinisterra, Tyler Adams [sold to Bournemouth], [Marc] Roca, [Brenden] Aaronson, [Diego] Llorente etc [are players who would not be welcomed back].

"The other thing is, it's not all their responsibility but they were the players who got the club relegated. They were the ones who weren't good enough at the Premier League level."
