With the departure of Enzo Maresca, the hot seat at Stamford Bridge is open with rumours already swirling to decide a replacement. In this, we will be using the SkyBet betting odds as of the time of writing and assessing each of the favourites to decide who is the best option to become the next Chelsea Manager.

Next Chelsea Manager Betting Odds – The Favourites

Betting Favourite – Liam Rosenior

Currently managing Strasbourg in Ligue 1, Liam Rosenior is familiar to BlueCo and their model having overseen an overhaul within the French club with young players signed and some sent on to Chelsea or other big clubs. He finished 7th last term after taking over when the team were lower in the table but has stagnated to a degree with the team still sitting in 7th despite their summer outlay.

He has been in charge for 62 matches at his current club and has a win rate of 50% with 17 defeats. He has yet to win any trophies during his time as a coach with Hull City or Strasbourg.

Filipe Luis

A former Chelsea player and a championship winner in his time there. Filipe Luis has made the move to management back in Brazil, working his way up the system at Flamengo, going from their U17 team to the U20 and then taking over the senior team. His side came up against the Blues in the Club World Cup.

He has been in charge of the Flamengo first team for 88 matches with a win rate of 65% and a positive goal difference of 101, his prolific team have netted 155 times, a salivating prospect for his potential new employers. As a manager, he has won the Brazilian Serie A, the Copa Libertadores, Copa do Brasil, and a number of personal honours. Potentially the best pedigree of the current betting favourites.

Cesc Fabregas

Another former manager, Cesc Fabregas, has been making his name in management over in Italy with Como as he’s turned them into a top-half team in a very competitive league. His IQ on the pitch has translated to coaching as he’s been a quick learner in his first job with his team currently sitting in sixth place.

He has been in charge of 56 matches at Como, with a win percentage of 40%. A positive goal difference of 12 is hurt by conceeding 65 goals in his time in charge.

Oliver Glasner

A 10/1 favourite currently, Oliver Glasner is the most recognisable name here and potentially the preferred option of a number of fans. He has been a revelation for Crystal Palace since taking over, leading them to a historic FA Cup win, a Community Shield win, and taking them into Europe. He is the most experienced manager on this list, being in his fifth job having almost 500 matches as a coach to his name between the Eagles, LASK, SV Ried, Wolfsburg, and Eintracht Frankfurt.

He has won the Europa League and FA Cup in his time as a manager with a win percentage of 45% in his current job. Potentially the most accomplished name, he has been tactically flexible throughout his career and knows how to win.
