Nicolas Jackson Transfer Saga Latest Twist

Bayern Munich Back In

After seemingly pulling out of any deal to sign the Senegal striker, the Bundesliga giants are reportedly back in talks for the player. Reports from Nizaar Kinsella are that the striker is expected to join the German side before the end of deadline day, marking a major turnaround in just under 24 hours.

It is likely that the deal will be a permanent exit for the attacker, as the Blues don’t seem keen on letting him go on loan without an obligation. The deal is sure to stay tricky, as the details continue to change with each passing hour.

What Jackson Offers

You might be forgiven for thinking Jackson is a flop given Chelsea’s eagerness to sell him in this window but he has been impressive considering his age and experience. He very briefly broke into the first team at Villarreal before being thrown into the spotlight as the starting striker at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

While he has had his moments of profligacy and bad temperament on the pitch, he has also contributed a pretty impressive 42 goal contributions in 81 appearances for the Blues, averaging one in every two matches. That’s a pretty hefty return for a player with less than 150 senior club games to his name and shows the potential that Bayern are hoping he reaches.
