Noni Madueke’s Forest masterclass sparks Arsenal debate over Bukayo Saka’s place

Arsenal supporters have voiced an opinion about Bukayo Saka following Noni Madueke’s strong showing against Nottingham Forest.

There were some questions raised when Madueke made the switch from Chelsea, mainly due to his up-and-down form at Stamford Bridge.

But since arriving, he’s shown glimpses of what he can offer on the right side for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The winger had a productive spell with England during the last international break, and that confidence appears to have carried over into his latest appearance for Arsenal.

Bukayo Saka is currently sidelined with an injury, which gave Noni Madueke another opportunity to start on the right wing. His attacking qualities were evident again as he turned in another strong performance.

Madueke played with high energy from the first minute, making smart runs and creating chances as Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win.

Saka has long been one of Arsenal’s most important players, but some fans now think he could stay out of the lineup even after he returns from injury.

Another added: “Saka has got some real competition for the starting right wing spot. Noni Madueke has been really good today.”

Given that many supporters weren’t fully convinced by Madueke’s signing initially, one admitted they were “surprised” by how well he played.

Another fan went as far as saying that Madueke has “shown more threats from the right wing than Saka,” hoping to see more of him in future matches.

With Saka currently out injured, Mikel Arteta went with Madueke on the right wing against Forest, and he didn’t disappoint. His energy and movement stood out as Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win.

Saka has been a key figure for Arsenal since breaking into the first team, but there’s growing chatter among supporters that he might not walk straight back into his usual spot when he returns.

“Madueke is making sure we don’t even think of Saka while he’s out,” one fan posted after the match. “Saka has got some real competition for the starting right wing. Noni Madueke has been really good today,” added another.

It’s a shift from when Madueke first arrived, with many fans unsure about the move. One even admitted they were “surprised” by how well he played against Forest.

Another supporter noted that Madueke had “shown more threats from the right wing than Saka,” suggesting there could be a genuine battle for that position moving forward.
