Nottingham Forest keen on Lazio midfielder Dele-Bashiru

January could yet bring further departures at Lazio, with Nottingham Forest emerging as a potential destination for midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

According to Italian reports, via TuttoMercatoWeb, Nottingham Forest have made an exploratory enquiry for the 2001-born midfielder.

After the exits of Valentín Castellanos to West Ham and Matteo Guendouzi to Fenerbahce, Lazio may not be finished reshaping their squad.

Several players remain under evaluation, and Dele-Bashiru is now firmly on the radar of the Premier League side.

The Nigerian is currently away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, but that has not stopped interest from building.

Lazio value Dele-Bashiru at €15m amid Nottingham Forest interest

Lazio are believed to value Dele-Bashiru at around €15 million plus bonuses, a figure that could allow the Biancocelesti to reinvest immediately as Maurizio Sarri looks to rebalance his squad.

Initial contacts have already taken place, though it remains to be seen whether Forest will formalise their interest with a concrete offer.

Financial Fair Play considerations could play a role, potentially pushing the English club towards a loan with an option or obligation to buy rather than an outright purchase.

For Lazio, a sale at the right price would represent another significant opportunity to reshape the squad during a busy January window.
