According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Nottingham Forest have asked Milan for Yunus Musah after Timothy Weah refused to leave Juventus for the Premier League side.

There had been reports of Nottingham Forest edging closer to a double deal with Juventus for two players, paying a total €23m for Weah and Samuel Mbangula.

However, Tuttosport noted today that the players had put the brakes on the negotiations.

Weah refusal sends Forest to Musah

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport adds that Weah specifically has no intention of making the move to Nottingham Forest.

This prompted them to turn their focus to his fellow USMNT and Serie A player, Musah.

It is no secret that Milan have put him on the market, but they also want at least €25m for the sale, having failed to agree terms for a move to Napoli earlier in the summer.

Talks with Forest are at an early stage right now, but the 22-year-old is versatile, able to cover central midfield or wide right roles.

Milan paid €21.2m to sign Musah from Valencia in 2023 and this season he featured in 40 competitive games, providing three assists.
