Liam and NoelGallagher are finally back together after 15 years apart. But after four sold-out shows in their hometown of Manchester, the brothers’ private jet plans unexpectedly got in the way of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford’s loan transfer to Barcelona.
OASIS is widely considered one of the biggest rock bands of the century, but the brothers split in 2008 after a series of disagreements. Now, the Manchester City fans have indirectly affected a transfer involving their club’s biggest rivals.
According to The Sun, the Gallagher brothers booked all available private jet slots at Manchester Airport following their Heaton Park performances. Liam reportedly kept a private jet on standby to take him to his home in the south of France.
With no private jet space left, Rashford and his team were forced to travel 80 miles to East Midlands Airport instead. The Manchester United forward then faced a one-hour delay before finally boarding a private jet set to land in Spain shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Rashford is scheduled for a medical on Monday as Barcelona looks to finalize a loan deal that will see the Spanish club pay him a reported $419,250 per week.

Ironically, the Gallagher brothers—famous for fronting OASIS—are lifelong Manchester City supporters. Since their rise to fame, the band’s music, including classics like Wonderwall and Blue Moon, has become closely associated with City, with fans regularly singing them at the Etihad Stadium.
In recent years, Liam and Noel have grown close to Pep Guardiola’s staff during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, often appearing at title celebrations and performing at the Etihad.
While their music continues to inspire City fans, this time, their travel plans unintentionally disrupted Manchester United’s transfer business.
What a band.
