The 2025 French Open lasted a few long hours. For five hours and 29 minutes, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner went at it, giving it their all. The back-and-forth was an absolute treat for sports fans to witness. Despite taking an early lead, Sinner went on to trail Alcaraz.

He made a solid comeback despite being two sets down after Carlos Alcaraz took the third set (6-4) and the fourth set (7-6). The fifth set went to a tie-breaker, with Alcaraz stepping up, winning 10-2, and clinching the final set, 7-6.

The stars showed up at the event in their Sunday best. In the crowd were the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., George Russell, Antoine Dupont, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker, and Kevin Trapp. Despite so many celebrities witnessing the iconic game, it was Odell Beckham Jr. who truly stood out, and for good reason.

The NFL wide receiver wore a dark blue pair of trousers, paired with a brown cardigan on top of a plain white shirt. It was not his outfit that made OBJ stand out, but the passion with which he was cheering on Carlos Alcaraz. It was interesting to see that Beckham Jr. has so much love for the game of tennis.

His reactions made some fans ponder the reason for his being vested in the game. Could it be that OBJ had bet the house on Carlos Alcaraz? Judging based on his reactions, that is a real possibility. It makes things interesting because seldom has the prominent wideout been caught cheering so passionately at a tennis game.

Even with Spike Lee in the building, Odell Beckham Jr. was the one who captured all the attention

It was safe to say that Jannik Sinner’s competitiveness brought out the New Yorker in Odell Beckham. Spike Lee, a true-and-true New Yorker at heart, was there amongst the audience too, but the limelight was on Beckham Jr. Fans found his reaction hilarious, but the one common theme was that everyone was convinced OBJ had bet money on Carlos to win the game. Fortunately for him, his payday came last night.

The Sinner-Alcaraz battle was a delight to witness. This win marked the second French Open victory in Alcaraz’s career, and the fifth Grand Slam title of his pro career. Despite the tough loss, Jannik Sinner was happy for his competitor. The two exchanged pleasantries and expressed gratitude for having such strong competition to go up against.

As for Odell Beckham Jr., it would appear that he earned enough money to count towards his salary for the year. The wide receiver finds himself searching for a new team to play on. After one season with the Miami Dolphins, the wideout was released.

Since then, OBJ has yet to find himself part of an NFL roster. An ideal destination for him would be Baltimore. Before he joined the Dolphins, OBJ was a role player for the Ravens. For now, he continues to enjoy his life and supports other athletes.
