We are only into day four of the January transfer window and already we are seeing some wild claims being thrown around.
Some reporters probably need to check their info before muting a transfer rumours, because this next one is just impossible.
The Sun recently said Chelsea were looking at Girona striker Artem Dovbyk this January.
Chelsea have been ‘impressed by Girona striker Artem Dovbyk’s recent form’ and believe his ‘height and physical presence’ could be key for them. His contract runs until 2028 and he could be sold for around €45m. Dovbyk shares the same agent as Mykhailo Mudryk (via @SBrennerNews) pic.twitter.com/65p8wbrBQv

As we are all aware, it’s clear that Chelsea ARE looking at potential striker options, but a move for Dovbyk this month is physically impossible, quite literally.
As Ryan Taylor of The Daily Mirror explains below, Chelsea links to Dovbyk are a non-starter. He has already played official matches for two clubs this season after featuring in Champions League qualifiers for Dnipro in July/August.
So any move in January is off-limits because players are only allowed to play for two clubs in the same season.
