Offer submitted: Tottenham step up move for versatile ace with 'good technical quality'

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Genoa defender Koni De Winter at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old defender has done quite well for the Italian outfit, and his performances attracted the attention of the Premier League club. They have recently won the UEFA Europa League, and they have secured Champions League qualification for the next season.

Spurs need a defender

Tottenham are now looking to improve their squad during the summer transfer window, and signing a quality defender will be a priority for them. Cristian Romero could be on his way out of the club in the summer, and they need to replace him. In addition to that, they need more depth in the defensive unit as well.

Signing the versatile Belgian could be a wise decision. He is capable of operating as a central defender as well as a full-back. Former Juventus manager Max Allegri has described him as a player with “good technical quality”. There is no doubt that he has the ability to succeed in the Premier League, and he could be an important player for Tottenham in the long term.

According to a report from La Repubblica, Tottenham have already offered €24 million for him. It remains to be seen whether Genoa are prepared to sanction his departure. The two clubs have previously negotiated the transfer of Radu Dragusin, and Tottenham have amicable terms with the Italian outfit. They will hope to get the deal across the line.

The player is reportedly valued at around €30 million.

Convincing the defender to join the club should not be difficult. It will be an exciting opportunity for him, and he could look to compete in the Champions League with Spurs next season. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

It has been a disappointing season, and Tottenham need quality players to bounce back. Signing the versatile young defender could be ideal.
