Lega Serie A president Ezio Maria Simonelli has confirmed Saudi Arabia will host the 2025 Supercoppa Italiana in December.
Per Simonelli via FCInterNews, the latest Super Cup edition will take place between December 18 and 22.
While the organizers have set the date, they have yet to name a host city.
Indeed, Riyadh and Jeddah are the two likeliest cities to stage the mini-tournament.
However, the Saudis have yet to make a decision.
Saudi Arabia has hosted the last three Supercoppa Italiana editions.
Furthermore, since the switch to a four-team format, both tournaments have taken place in the Middle East.
Inter Milan won the inaugural edition in 2023, beating Napoli 1-0 in the title-deciding fixture.
However, the Nerazzurri failed to defend their crown earlier this year.
AC Milan bested Simone Inzaghi’s side in a dramatic final last January, halting their three-year reign.
Riyadh hosted all four finals and could do it for the fifth time in a row unless Saudi Arabia moved the tournament to Jeddah.
“The schedule follows the dates already communicated, so the semi-finals will be on December 17–18 and the final on December 22, Simonelli said.
“We still don’t know where it will be held, whether in Riyadh or Jeddah.
“Considering that Saudi Arabia has two seasons, I imagine it could still be Riyadh.
“But the decision lies with the Saudis. I personally hope it will be Jeddah, but choosing the location is not within our power.”
