Inter Milan have discovered their UEFA Champions League play-off opponents, with Cristian Chivu’s Nerazzurri side set to take on Bodo/Glimt.
It was either going to be the Norwegian side or a match against Jose Mourinho‘s Benfica.
Mourinho’s side booked their place in the play-offs thanks to a stoppage time goal from goalkeeper Trubin against the coach’s old club Real Madrid.
The draw took place this morning in Nyon.
Benfica were considered to be the toughest of the two options but Bodo/Glimt are not to be underestimated.
The Norwegian side have already beaten the likes of Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the league phase.
The away leg, in particular, for Inter will be a difficult test.
Bodo/Glimt’s artificial pitch is known to cause problems for visiting teams.
As well as the sheer cold of the Scandinavian country.
The play-off knockout round is scheduled for February 17-18, for the first leg, and the matches decided on February 24-25.
