Lazio have officially announced the arrival of left-back Luca Pellegrini, who has returned to Rome from Juventus.
The 24-year-old Italian full-back joined the Biancocelesti on a six-month loan deal back in January and struggled for consistent minutes, but that didn’t bother Maurizio Sarri, who made it clear that he wanted the player to return this summer.
As announced today, Pellegrini has joined Lazio on a two-year loan deal, undergoing his medicals at the Paideia Clinic in Rome this morning before putting pen to paper on his contract.
Reports suggest that the loan deal, which has no upfront fee, contains a €4 million obligation to buy clause.
Juventus will also contribute to his salary across his two-year loan, and at the end of this, he’ll pen a long-term contract until 2027 with an option for a further year, worth €2.4 million net per season.
Pellegrini saw 243 minutes of action across eight appearances in his first six months in Rome.
