Earlier this week, Real Madrid’s hopes of signing Leny Yoro blew up in smoke. Club bosses had the 18-year-old as their leading defensive target for the summer transfer window, but having failed to agree a fee with Lille, Manchester United have now swooped in to acquire his services themselves.
On Thursday, Man United made the Yoro signing official. He arrives for an initial price of €50m, which will include significant add-ons, and pens a five-year contract, which does include an option for the deal to be extended by an additional 12 months.
This is home.

Losing out on Yoro is a big blow for Real Madrid, and currently, they do not have any plans to identify an alternative signing . As things stand, it means that they will head into the new season with Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao as their first-choice pairing in the centre of defence, while Aurelien Tchouameni and Jesus Vallejo will also be options at the disposal of head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
