UEFA have officially announced that they have moved the kickoff time for the Champions League final three hours forward.

The football governing body have made the official announcement, via FCInterNews. This season’s final will kick off at 18.00 CET rather than 21.00.

In recent years, the Champions League final has always kicked off at 21.00 CET.

That was the kickoff time for Inter Milan’s 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in last campaign’s shocking final.

Meanwhile, Inter also faced Manchester City with that kickoff time two years ago, at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Inter’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich in 2010 was the first final to take place on a Saturday.

UEFA Move Champions League Final Kickoff Time Forward Three Hours Two 18.00 CET

UEFA have made the announcement, however, that they will be moving the kickoff time forward starting this season.

Rather than the final kicking off at 21.00 CET, it will take place three hours earlier, at 18.00 CET.

The reason that the football governing body gives for this decision is a logistical change.

The hope is that travelling fans will have easier access to public transportation. Particularly after the end of the match.
