Vicenza have officially announced that they’ve signed Lazio full back Jordan Lukaku on loan.

As announced in an official statement yesterday, the Serie B side have signed the 27-year-old Belgian left back on a six-month loan deal, and it’s possible that a buy option was attached.

Lukaku did not impress coach Maurizio Sarri during Lazio’s pre-season training camp last summer and so he was not included in the project in Rome.

The Belgian full back has hardly featured for the Biancocelesti since arriving in the summer of 2016. During his five years contracted to the club, he has made 85 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 3947 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided eight assists.

Lukaku spent last season on loan with Royal Antwerp, where he made 29 appearances across all competitions. He provided five assists in that time, impressing but not doing enough to convince the club to make the stay permanent.
