Torino have wanted Gaetano Oristanio for weeks now, they had got close to a deal with Venezia, but then got into a tangle over the formula of the transfer.

This has been going on for a while, a few days ago the negotiations had seemed ready to find a breakthrough after Venezia lowered their initial more than €10m asking price to accept €7m.

Now they want a paid loan with obligation to buy that would be activated if the Granata finished at a certain spot in the Serie A table this season.

Torino, on the other hand, are insisting on a paid loan with option to buy that gives them a little more flexibility.

This should not be dragging on as long as it is, because Oristanio has chosen Torino and put other options on stand-by, but he cannot hang on forever.

As confirmed, Toro are also tracking Eljif Elmas, who would represent a return to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino after his recent loan.
