'Outrageous pace' could help Chelsea’s loaned striker do well says former Liverpool man

Armando Broja complete a late loan move to Fulham on Deadline Day this week, and one person who is excited about that move is Stan Collymore.

The former Liverpool man covered the move in his weekly exclusive column for Caughtoffside, and he’s really positive about Broja’s prospects in the second half for a Fulham side who seem to have a lot of the ingredients of a good team but have struggled to replace Aleksandr Mitrovic’s goals:

“He’s a player who has outrageous pace, so his presence up front will help Fulham hit teams on the counter-attack,” Collymore wrote.

“From what I have seen of Fulham, they have absolutely no problems creating chances and breaking sides down, but they’ve struggled with putting the ball in the back of the net but Broja is a player capable of doing that week-in-week-out, so I am expecting good things from him in the second half the season.”

Now we wouldn’t agree that Broja has “outrageous pace,” especially after his injury. He’s got a decent turn of speed for sure, but he’s not tearing defences apart with it.

But we go agree that this could be a good move for Broja and Fulham. They’re creating chances without scoring and he’s just looking to play every game and get up to speed. He should slot into their team as soon as this afternoon, and could do really well before the end of this season.
